The Regional Symbol of Tuban, East Java

In the previous post KNOT have discussed about the origin of Tuban's name, jump into the second discussion, KNOT will talk about the regional symbol of Tuban. We only know the symbol, but not the meaning. Invalid if you do not understand the meaning of each symbol. Without further ado, here is the explanation 😆 enjoy the reading ~

According to local regulation Nmbr : 2/Prt/DPRD-GR/69 August 16th 1969 chapter 1, it is stated that the regional symbol of Tuban Regency is divided into 8 parts:

• Five-pointed white shield , the 5 corners symbolize the Tuban people upholding Pancasila (the basis of the Indonesian state) and the shield symbolizes the protection of the Tuban people in blocking various kinds of obstacles.
• The Black Horse, Black Horse is Ronggolawe's favorite animal (Hero of Tuban)
• White Gate (Gate of Sunan Bonang Mosque),Symbolizing the entry gate of Islam brought by "Wali Songo" among others Makdum Ibrahim known as Sunan Bonang.
• Five-pointed Yellow Star, A sense of monotheism to God Almighty
• The black stone is in the form of an umpak and a light blue jet of water. Based on an ancient tale about the origin of the word Tuban, namely:

a. The black stone in the form of an umpak is the Tiban (fall) Stone. From this word came the word Tu – ban.

b. The jet of water or water source is meTu-banyu (spring) from the words Tu-ban.

• Green mountains, teak leaves, seeds and strings of peanuts,  The people of Tuban Regency have high hopes for the realization of a just and prosperous society
• Three Gold Boats, Blue Sea with White Waves, To the north of Tuban Regency is a rich ocean which is an economic potential. The coastal population of Tuban Regency

2. The dotted red line is 8: symbolizes the month of August

3. Teak leaves and seeds symbolize the number 45.

Thus the people of Tuban Regency uphold the Day of the Proclamation of Independence of the Indonesian State. The spirit of the Proclamation animates the struggle and ideals of the people of Tuban Regency.
